The approval process for the initiatives covered under small initiatives would follow a more simplified procedure. Considering that the size of funding for the small initiatives is Rs 35-70 lakhs,over 2 years period, the approval process is kept to a one-stage process alone. Due consultations would be carried out with GoI Ministries / Deptts., DEVCOS and CIDA Hqs before the proposal is placed before the JPSC for approval. The proponent would be required to make a presentation before the JPSC at the time.
